Service is an integral part of the school’s ethos and Uplands College is very committed to it. The Uplands community service aims to give each student an opportunity to experience the broader community and to get involved in activities outside of their comfort zone.

It also gives students an opportunity to play a role in society and contribute to the communities around them that is making a difference.

The minimum expectation for students is 10 hours but our students do more and have achieved Honours and Colours Awards since 2010 to date.

There are several programmes running throughout the year where pupils can get involved and give back to our local communities, they are:

Lula day care centre

Pro-life Animal Rescue

Children in distress

Millennium Home of Hope

Rustig old age home

Adopt a child programme
