Athletics clinic

Three of our Prep and College staff together with Sellin de Beer and Pierre Naude recently attended a unique athletics clinic at Hoërskool Rob Ferreira.The clinic boasted with eight athletic specialists that have all competed at different levels such as the South African and African championships,World championships (Indoor- and outdoor) and the Olympic Games.Sellin was coached by Willie Gouws while Pierre trained with Leon Verster and Dewald van Heerden.Carel van Wyk and Llewellyn Herbert focused on hurdle and sprint training and shared their practical experience with the staff.One staff member completed his level 1 course successfully.

Swimming Matthew Ives has been selected to represent Botswana at the FINA Short Course World Championships, which will be held in Windsor, Canada from the 6th - 11th December 2016. Matthew will then travel to Angola for the African Union Region 5 Championships, which will be held from the 14th - 17th December 2016.

SANESA Nationals

Well done to the following girls who represented Mpumalanga at the SANESA Nationals in Bronkhorstspruit recently. There were over 900 competitors and horses that took part. Here are the results: Emma Kruger and her horse Superdad• 2nd (60cm equitation)• 30th (showjumping) Jessica Cowling and her horse Roxy• 13th (70cm showjumping) Stormé Chapman and her horse Troy• 11th (70cm showjumping) Jessica Whittle (Prep rider)• 11th (equitation)• 18th (working hunter class) Jireh D’almeida and her horse Sandy• This was her first national event and she is commended on her determination and effort.
